During Journal Club, the students:
- Describe the purpose of the study.
- Summarize the important points in the article, paying particular attention to the methods that were used.
- Describe the main results.
- Highlight the strengths and weaknesses.
- Important questions to address:
i) Did the authors achieve what they set out to achieve? Are there any ambiguous interpretations of their results?
ii) How could the study have been improved? What (probably better) methodological approaches could be used? What (probably more important) questions should be addressed? - Describe the implications of the results.
- What further research might be carried out?
